Starting Solids
When and how to introduce first foods
Many babies begin solids around 6 months of age. Milk remains the primary source of nutrition during the first year. Solid foods are introduced gradually.
In the beginning, solids are mostly about exploration, learning, and new textures and tastes — not large amounts of food.
