Baby is now the size of a apple

Welcome to Week 15. Your baby is growing rapidly and becoming more coordinated every day. Although they are still small enough to fit comfortably in the palm of your hand, they are constantly moving, stretching, swallowing, and practicing skills they will continue developing throughout pregnancy. For many mothers, the second trimester continues to bring welcome relief from early pregnancy symptoms. This is also a week when many parents start feeling a stronger connection to their baby.

Frequently asked questions

Can I feel the baby move yet?

Some mothers, especially those who have been pregnant before, may begin noticing very subtle movements. Most first-time mothers will need to wait a little longer.

Why am I getting nosebleeds?

Increased blood volume and hormonal changes can make the blood vessels inside the nose more sensitive.

Is it normal to feel warmer?

Yes. Increased blood flow and a faster metabolism can make pregnant women feel warmer than usual.

Is my baby sleeping?

Yes. Your baby already has periods of activity and rest throughout the day.
